About Us: We are a renowned brokerage with a strong market presence, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. Owing to the recent decision of one of our long-standing team members to embark on a new journey we are looking for a talented Commercial Account Handler to take over his portfolio. This portfolio primarily includes small shops, offices, and SMEs with typical premiums ranging from €250 to €20k.

The Role: As a Commercial Account Handler, you will play a pivotal role in retaining and developing existing client relationships. Within your first year, you will:

  • Retain over 90% of the business, ensuring minimal client loss.
  • Develop and enhance the client portfolio by cross-selling additional policies such as D&O, EPL, etc.
  • Provide personalized service, demonstrating your ability to work independently and maintain client trust.
  • Assess existing client coverage and identify additional needs.
  • Handle commercial policies administration, renewals, and referrals for personal lines business.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver empathetic support during claims experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse book of business including small PI policies, motor fleets, and full commercial combined policies.
  • Provide expert advice and handle commercial queries on behalf of the Account Executive.
  • Maintain high client retention rates and develop growth strategies for the portfolio.
  • Administer renewals, cross-sell additional policies, and ensure comprehensive client coverage.

The Person:

  • Proven track record with over 90% retention rates.
  • 3-5 years of solid experience in the insurance market, handling a variety of commercial policies.
  • CIP qualified with a strong understanding of small PI policies, motor fleets, and commercial combined policies.
  • Experience with Relay and a high degree of practical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, empathetic, and able to build trust with clients.
  • Ambitious and eager to progress to handling larger client accounts.

The Team: You will join a dedicated commercial lines team within an office of fifteen staff. Our team includes:

  • A senior member who has been with us since 2009.
  • Another experienced handler with us since 2012.
  • An Operations Manager with over 20 years of service.
  • A newer team member who joined four years ago. You will report directly to our Business Operations Manager, known for her excellent training skills and approachable nature.
